Officina Colla was founded in Tortona in 1950 by Giovanni Colla, a technician who attended the legendary agricultural machine factory Orsi, where a generation of specialized mechanics grew up.
During the post-war period, the town of Tortona became a capital of machine tools thanks to companies such as Graziano, CMT, Piccinotti & Milanese and many others, and still in Tortona the italian tanker truck was created by Acerbi, OMT and Mazzariol firms. For this target Giovanni Colla put right semitrailer support legs, becoming hot items even among famous forwarding agents, such as Fagioli from Emilia.
